After this time we might be unable to make any edits to your order i.e canceling the order, changing shipping information or order information color or size. If we are successfully able to cancel your order a 20% item value will be subtracted from your refund to cover for costs incurred.

A: We want you to love your Seamstress Lagos pieces. If for any reason you need to return or exchange an item, please note our timelines:
Orders within Lagos: Item(s) must be received by us within 3 business days from the date of delivery or pick-up.
Orders within Nigeria (outside Lagos): Item(s) must be received by us within 5 business days from the date of delivery.
International Orders: Item(s) must be received by us within 10 business days from the date of delivery.
Important: The item(s) must physically be in our possession within these timeframes to qualify for an exchange or a refund. There are no exceptions to this.
For “Pick up” orders, a refund is only possible if the item is picked up within 2 weeks of the order date. Pick-ups after this period will only be eligible for store credit. Orders picked up later than 6 weeks will not be eligible for exchange or refund.
Please note: Items purchased or tried on in person cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded. Additionally, items bought online cannot be exchanged for items available in person.
A: Currently, we do not provide shipping labels. Therefore, the customer is responsible for the cost of sending the item(s) back to Seamstress Lagos.
A: If you’d like to exchange an item, you will be responsible for:
1. The cost of sending the original item back to us, and
2. The delivery fee for sending the new item to you (this will be the same as your original shipping cost).
A: Refunds will be issued, minus the original shipping cost, via bank transfer.
A: Once we receive your returned item, we aim to ship an exchange within 48 hours except in the case of an occasion wear product this made take up to 7 business days or process a refund within 5-7 business days, depending on your request. Please remember that refund processing times can vary depending on your payment provider and may take longer to appear in your account.
A: All returned items must be unworn, undamaged, free of any blemishes (like stains or marks), and in their original packaging to be eligible for an exchange or refund. If an item is returned to us in a damaged condition, we will not be able to process a refund or exchange, regardless of the circumstances, and you will be responsible for the shipping costs to have it returned to you.
A: Unfortunately, sale items or items purchased using a discount code are not eligible for a refund or exchange under any circumstances. Only full-price items qualify for our standard return and exchange policy.
A: Yes, you can exchange an item for another size or style, subject to our exchange and return policy.
Important notes about exchanges:
- Non-custom items: You can exchange non-custom items within the specified timeframe.
- Custom items: Unfortunately, we cannot offer exchanges or returns on customized outfits. However, we may be able to make alterations to your custom outfit at no additional cost, subject to our availability.
- Logistics costs for alterations: Please note that you will be responsible for the shipping costs of sending the item for alterations and returning it to you.

What constitutes a “customized item”?
Any item made with measurements that fall outside our standard size guide.
Any item featuring alterations to sleeves or lengths that differ from our basic measurements. For example, if you provide measurements in the order notes (bust 36 inches, waist 29 inches, hips 40 inches) that are close to but not exactly a size 10 in our size guide, this will be considered a customized item.
A: To ensure a swift and seamless process, please make sure your return meets all the terms and conditions outlined above.
A: After we have received and inspected the garment please allow for 3 – 5 business days for it to be processed and in the case of an Occassion wear product please allow for up to 10 – 15 business days
A: If you believe you have received a faulty item, please notify us within 3 days from the date of delivery. The faulty item must be returned to us no later than 20 days from the delivery date. After this 20-day period, we will no longer be able to accept the item, regardless of the situation.
A: Items purchased with store credits are non exchangeable.

Here’s how it works:
Orders outside Nigeria : You’ll receive a tracking number via email as soon as your item is shipped. You can use this number to track your order on the courier’s website.
Local orders within Nigeria: Unfortunately, we don’t currently offer tracking for Nigerian Orders.

Q: The shipping company got to my location but I missed the shipper’s call?
A: If you’re unreachable when the shipping company arrives, your item will be returned to Seamstress Lagos. We’ll contact you via email or WhatsApp to schedule a new delivery.
Please note: There will be a shipping fee for the second delivery, which you’ll be responsible for paying. We recommend providing your phone number and a backup contact person in case you’re unavailable when the shipper tries to deliver.

Once we receive this information, we’ll provide you with our studio details. Please note that pickups are available during our pickup hours:
